After a brief business meeting, refreshments, and the monthly Mini Art Show, the guest artist of the day, David Farrington, will do a demonstration in oil painting.

The cost will be the same as the July classes.

The winners of the Mini Art Show at our May meeting were: "Best of Show," Roz Miller; 1st place, Betty Jo Ford; 2nd place, Sharon Salcido; 3rd place, Mike Barrett.

Every month pieces of art are needed for the Mini Art Show, which is an enjoyable part of the meeting.

Everyone should try to bring something to display, and possibly win a ribbon. Look for the Art League golf cart float in the July 4th parade.

Also, mark your calendars for the Oct. 5 annual Art Show in the Main Clubhouse Ballroom.

Sharon Salcido is the chairman, and more information will be coming soon.

This is a very special event for the talented artists of Sun Lakes, and for all the Sun Lakes residents and their guests, who enjoy seeing the beautiful works of art.

It was a beautiful day in the neighborhood, as Sun Lakes residents celebrated the 4th of July in style. After the opening ceremonies with a color guard, barbershop singers, and the Stardust Dancers, a parade of decorated classic cars and golf carts circled through the community.
