Sun Lakes certainly does the 4th of July right and this year’s observance commemorating our nation’s 239 birthday was no exception. The jam-packed schedule of events immediately following the Golf Cart Parade provided an “old fashioned and something for everyone” 4th of July celebration.

Last Friday, the campus of Central Elementary School in Banning had an assembly to mark the Chinese New Year. Central School has a Confucius Institute-sanctioned Mandarin Chinese program, and offers a couple of after-school courses in Chinese.
