Japanese flutes coming to Banning

Japanese flutist Kohei Nishikawa will perform in Banning on Sunday, Feb. 10.

He’s performed in Carnegie Hall in New York City, in the heart of Paris, around the world, and now … downtown Banning.

Enjoy ancient Japanese flute music with one of Japan’s most accomplished flutists, who is visiting the United States for just a few days. Kohei Nishikawa will share traditional Japanese flutes in a special cultural-exchange concert at 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 10, at Dorothy Ramon Learning Center, 127 N. San Gorgonio Ave., Banning.

Your $10 will help the nonprofit Center save and share Southern California’s Native American cultures, languages, history, and traditional arts. Information: (951) 849-7736, www.dorothyramon.blogspot.com
