Bill and Mary (Lopez) Hershey

On Sept. 1, 1957 Bill and Mary (Lopez) Hershey were married at the Evangelical United Brethren Church in Santa Cruz, N.M.

Dr. Glen F. McCracken, superintendent of McCurdy Mission School where the newlyweds graduated, officiated the ceremony.

Bill and Mary continued their education at Westmar College in LeMars, Iowa where they earned their degrees and then moved to Beaumont.

Both became educators. Bill retired in 2002 after 45 years of service. Mary retired in 1996 completing 37 years as a bilingual teacher.

They have one son, Charles; one daughter, Krista; and a grandchild, Preston. Their home is in Banning. They will celebrate their anniversary with family and friends.
